The Preservation Action Foundation, formerly known as the Center for Preservation Initiatives, is a registered 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization. Preservation Action is the vehicle through which the Preservation Action Foundation generally fulfills its charitable mission.

Annual Auction and Gala

Donations to the annual Silent and Live Auctions entirely benefit the Preservation Action Foundation. The Foundation, created in 1988, is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation focused on education and outreach related to historic preservation policy nationwide. Based in Washington, DC, the Foundation’s mission is to develop educational programs and resources that will inspire and inform a new generation of preservation advocates. The Preservation Action Foundation involves individuals and grassroots organizations in the decision-making processes of the national preservation movement.
